but not a lot of news to report. The biggest thing that’s happened in the last week is that my “morning” sickness seems to be diminishing. This is actually pretty big news, now that I think about it. I was sick all day every day for about 5 weeks. It was terrible. Absolutely miserable. Now, I feel kinda like a human again. I can function without having to consider where or when I might puke my brains out. The grand finale was me in bed with an ice pack on my chest, a trashcan next to the bed and a throbbing headache. Thankfully, I have started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We had an appointment with the OBGYN on Tuesday and we were both shocked and speechless when Dr. Gagnon put the ultrasound wand on my belly and an actual baby popped up on the screen. This is the first time that it hasn’t looked like a chicken nugget and that was VERY cool. The baby was swimming all over the place; doing flips, stretching and it was almost like it was playing “hide and seek” with Dr. Gagnon.
Even with the morning sickness and the fact that I haven’t had a period in 3 months, there is still a part of me that thinks they are just playing a video of someone else’s ultrasound. It just doesn’t feel real yet, but we should be able to find out the sex in a month and maybe, when we can call “It” Eli or Jayne, it will be more believable.
We had a dinner club last night. It was at our hosted, but hosted by another couple…which was really nice. Everyone had a great time, but it was definitely more tame than some we’ve had in the past.
OHMYGOODNESS!!! THERE IS BIG NEWS! CAROLYN AND NEAL SOLD THEIR HOUSE AND THEY’VE GOT A CONTRACT ON A NEW HOUSE HERE!!! Now, that is exciting stuff. It’s been quite a process, but we just can’t wait for them to be settled in their new home. It’s about 10 minutes from us and it’s an awesome house.
Other than that, Wade and I have been preparing for our vacation to Idaho and Detroit for John’s wedding and Brett’s wedding. I soooooo need a vacation and can’t wait for August 2 to get here. Okay, all for now.
Blessings from ME and IT.
