What a sad day in Texas??? Big Tex, the giant that greeted me throughout my childhood and numerous TX/ou games at the State Fair has gone up in flames…and I thought I had a bad week.
Thankfully, for both of us, it’s over!
House is clean. Dog poop is scooped. Work reports are done. Dinner is decided. I am beat!
I have to hurry up and relax though because the next couple of weeks are going to be a whirlwind. I leave for Denver Monday morning at 8 and get back home Thursday night. Originally, I was scheduled to be gone until Friday, but I have a doctor’s appointment at 11 and if I had any delays with my flight, baggage, etc., I wouldn’t make it. So, I rescheduled. The week after that I’ll be spending in Oklahoma City and I’ve never been there, but I’m not really all that excited.
With all of the craziness lately, I’ve been doing pretty well. I feel really balanced and centered. I know, I know. That sounds like some hippie-shit, but it’s true. I’ve found myself thinking about crazy things; the Earth’s core, cellular duplication, and so on. I mean, the stuff I’m thinking about is either really profound or I should be committed. I’ll just continue to walk my fine line of sanity…
I don’t have any real news, I just felt like writing a bit on a Friday afternoon. It’s absolutely lovely here. I think I’ll be spending the rest of the afternoon on the hammock with my iPod and some puggle bulls, enjoying this gift of a day!
