Wedding Party

We are so thankful to have such loving and supportive friends and family to celebrate with as we begin this new chapter of our lives! We can’t wait for you to meet them, but until then, here’s a little introduction…

Jeff Miller

Best Man
Unfortunately, I had no choice but to hang out with Jeff as a child. My mom and Jeff’s dad are brother and sister, so that meant a lot of family reunions and get-togethers. At a young age, we found similar interests in Ghostbusters, Ohio State Football and making Luke and Curtis cry when playing football. The rest is history. Best Friends for 27 years.

Stephanie Parks

Maid of Honor
She taught me how to open Christmas presents and re-wrap them so nobody could tell. This is one of the many life changing lessons that I have learned from Steph and I can’t even begin to tell you about the lessons that I’ve learned WITH her! We actually met in 3rd grade, but she quickly became my arch nemesis. We didn’t become friends until I realized that she lived down the street from me and had a trampoline. One day, the trampoline broke and we still hung out. We’ve been best friends ever since.

Paul Harmon

Best Man
Okay, it IS possible to have two best friends. Paul is the 2nd. As soon as he moved into town in Junior High all the way through college, we made quite the duo. We invested in penny stocks and failed, we built putt-putt courses and failed and we even tried winning a lot of money playing online poker and failed. Not really, we actually dominated online poker 🙂 Paul is quite the character, and I am pretty happy that when his family moved from Detroit, they picked little ol Wauseon, Ohio!

Courtney Black

Bridesmaid
Courtney has been a best friend, a neighbor, an accomplice and so much more to me throughout our friendship. Every time we have an adventure, I’m pretty sure it’s the most fun two people could ever have until we totally top it the next time we get together. Courtney has some pretty incredible stories. She’s one of those people who find themselves in the coolest, funniest, and/or most unlikely situations and I’m really lucky to have been able to tag along for some of them!

Brad Palmer

Groomsman
Laughing, Golf, Baseball and LeBron James. Taking one look at Palmer and one look at myself, you may think initially there is no way these two guys have much in common. However, I think the 4 things listed above were the foundation of our friendship. If someone talks about anything regarding LeBron James or pretty much anything sport related, Palmer and I will probably pick the other side of the argument and fight with a group of people until we are blue in the face. I didn’t meet Palmer until college, but he was a solid friend and roommate!

Kristen Proffitt

Bridesmaid
You might have heard of her…you might even already know her. If you don’t, you should! Her other name is “NUSZ!” (you have to yell it). She is one of the most fun people I have ever met in my life. That’s probably why she is one of my best friends. Kristen can make light of any situation and her compassion and loyalty are second to none. She may seem really proper and demure, but don’t let her fool you.

Lucas Elson

Groomsman
My Grandma and Grandpa Graf watched me as a kid. My grandma and I dominated Nintendo and making Nachos, but when I wasn’t doing one of those two things, I would be across the street at the Elson house. There are 5 Elson brothers, so I had to hang out with them to even out the teams when it came to playing kickball, baseball or basketball in the backyard. I was extremely close with Lucas, as well as the rest of the family, and loved growing up on West Elm Street with all of them!

Sarah Hall

Bridesmaid
Where would I be without Sarah?!? Sarah and Stephanie are sisters and along with their oldest sister, Elizabeth, I have been made to feel like a member of the family. Although she has always taken very good care of us, one of my fondest memories of Sarah is her dropping me off at/picking me up from my house when she turned 16. She refused to stop the car and I would have to hop in our hop out as it rolled by. Looking back, I’m sure that was Sarah’s way of teaching us about life.

Brett Bauman

Groomsman
I am still trying to figure out why exactly I like Brett. Again, I didn’t meet Brett until I went to Bowling Green for school, but we grew to be great friends in a short amount of time. After Brett graduated, he moved down to Texas to work with the Rangers with me. Coty was also Brett’s boss for a little bit. I don’t know what human could possibly enjoy trying to handle myself AND Brett as subordinates. Poor Coty. Anyway, the real reason why Brett moved back to Ohio is because he sweats like crazy, so Texas and Brett Bauman were not a good marriage.

Holly Martin

Bridesmaid
Holly can best be described in three words: partner in crime. She’s been one of my best friends since 7th grade and she was also my college roommate. That’s the time period when most of our criminal activities took place. We were joined at the hip for three straight years. I’m not kidding when I say we never spent more than 12 hours apart during that time. From our own science experiments, to boot camp in Michigan, we have stories that will last a lifetime and I look forward to many more!

John Kaptain

Groomsman
I haven’t known John very long, but I’m really excited that I’ll be able to call him my brother-in-law and honored that he’ll be a part of our wedding day. I definitely appreciate his sense of humor and it’s nice to know I’ll have him to hang around during the family holidays. I’m sure we’ve got plenty of dominos and skip-bo in our future.

Lauren Santore

Bridesmaid
I’m so excited that Lauren, John’s fiance’, is a part of our wedding and even more excited that she’s going to be a part of our family! I feel incredibly lucky to have such a kind-hearted and beautiful sister-in-law…I don’t know how my brother pulled that off!
