We had a great date night last night. Wade came home and changed before we went to Fort Worth. We started the night with dinner at Chophouse. It was so great to see our old friends and the progress they’re making in Sundance Square with all the construction.
Dinner was fantastic! We shared calamari and I had a salad and part of a crabcake. Wade had buffalo wings (not on the menu). After dinner, we walked over to Tobacco Lane where our friend, Brad, had his last weekend of work in their wine cellar. It will be sad for him to not be there any more. I can’t begin to count the nights we spent chatting with him about baseball, work and life over good cigars and even better wine. The good news is that he’s on to bigger and better things. It’s definitely the end of an era though.
After Wade had a cigar with Brad we went over to the Bass Hall, just in time for the Blue Man Group performance. I don’t know what I was expecting, but that certainly wasn’t it. Don’t get me wrong, it was fantastic, but nothing I could have ever dreamed of in a million years. It truly was a great night and it ended with a Rangers’ win! Wade has a busy day at the Ballpark tomorrow, but today it’s lawn work and church! I’m going to get out there and help him…it’s too HOT to be a one-man job!
