It was a great run for the Rangers!  It truly was a special season even though we didn’t win it all.  Even though I’m disappointed that we weren’t able win last night, I’m not disappointed that the season is over.   The playoffs have probably been the least productive period for me in the past year.  Between all the games, coordinating tickets, company, entertaining and the ups ands downs of October baseball, I’m ready to get back into a normal routine.  I can’t wait, actually.

We have absolutely nothing to do this weekend, besides church, and this is the first time in a long time.  It’s kinda awkward.  Like, what do you do?  I woke up and called my friend, Kristen, who just announced last night that she is pregnant with her second child and due in June.  She actually called at 8:30 and I had to remind her that those of us without children, sleep in.  She laughed.  In any case, I was up around 9 and I spoke with her until 9:30 or so.  Wade came downstairs and I made us breakfast.  I feel so bad for him.  I don’t know how hard he’s taking this loss.  I can only imagine it’s a million times worse than how I felt about it.  So, after breakfast, he took a nap.  I did poop patrol with the help of Archie and Mack, who have apparently been eating snakes.  I just finished a report for work and now I’m blogging.

What on earth are we going to do for the rest of the weekend?  I’d love to go to the Kimball Art Museum in FTW.  I’ve been dying to go see their new Carvaggio.  I’d love to go to the zoo.  I’d love to go watch a play or go to the botanical gardens, but Wade’s calling the shots this weekend.  I just want him to be able to relax and recover from a very stressful month.

Next week, I’ll have quite a bit to do at work since I’ve been slacking due to the playoffs.  I have a dr appt Tuesday (just a check-up) and I have inventory on Friday, which I’m not looking forward to.  Of course, I’ll probably throw some “cake-balling” in there somewhere.  I made frogs and spiders this week.  They sure are cute!

Okay, all for now!  I’ve got to figure out how to relax.
