We had a garage sale yesterday. It was very stressful and I don’t think I even realized how much I was stressing about it until it was over. We did really well. We made about $200, but we still haven’t sold that damn basketball hoop! We cannot wait to get rid of that thing.
The sale was supposed to start at 7AM on Saturday, but people were here and ready to shop at 6:40. It was pretty busy all morning and we finally closed it down at 11. Thankfully, my mom came over and helped us out. It would have been terrible if it was just the two of us trying to hold down the fort. I was shocked by how much stuff was stolen, but that’s okay because whatever didn’t go was going to be donated anyway.
So, we didn’t get to watch any football yesterday at all! Since we woke up at 5AM, we took a nap during the afternoon and then had to get ready to leave for a wedding at 3:30. We were pretty much zombies. A couple of people came to the house before we left so we could all ride together. The wedding was small, but it was really cute and I got to feed my craving for wedding cake! We had a great time, but we were probably home by 9:30 or 10PM.
Wade, Archie, Mack and I snuggled on the couch to watch the Ohio State game that we had DVR’d. Archie and I fell asleep and missed pretty much the whole thing. When it was over, Wade woke us up and we all went upstairs. I woke up at about 7:30 this morning and we were able to go to early church, which was nice. After church, we went to Original Pancake House, not to be confused with International House of Pancakes. It was delicious and we’ve been laying around the house since we got back. All in all, it’s been a productive weekend and it’s definitely nice to have Sunday to relax. Ha! I type that as Wade is outside mowing the lawn…
Anyway, this will be a quick week. Uncle Charlie comes in on Thursday and we’ll all head Southbound on 35 for the family reunion in New Braunfels on Friday afternoon. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and spending some time quality time with Uncle Charlie! Okay, that’s all I got! I hope everyone has a spectacular week!
