It’s been a really great Easter! Wade and I went to church this morning. The service was great. After that, we went to my Mom’s house for the best ham EVER. We also had broccoli with hollandaise, potato wedges, and rolls. The dessert she made was unbelievable!!! It really was perfect! We both came home a took a short nap. I woke up to the Rangers on TV and Archie and Mack cuddled on the couch while Wade studied. This has been such a relaxing weekend for us and it was much needed.
As we were watching the Rangers’ game, I caught a glimpse of what I though was my second cousin, Caden. The camera had followed a foul ball over to the first base side and sure enough, there was Caden holding the ball high above his head with his brother, Cameron, and my cousin Jason with his wife Adrienne. The Easter bunny bought them tickets to the game. I can’t think of better kids to catch a foul ball. They are the sweetest family and I’m sure this will be a great memory for them.
Again, I don’t know if I mentioned it, but this past week has been pivotal for me. I feel so much better about the direction that my life is headed and am really proud of everything I’ve been through to get to this point. It really is true, adversity makes us stronger! Now, it certainly isn’t easy to see things that way when you’re in the thick of it, but once those battles are behind you, it’s a really great feeling!
I can’t think of better timing for this than Resurrection Sunday!
I hope everyone had a blessed day!
HAPPY EASTER!!!
