I’m blogging from a cafe on my iPad! Man, I love this thing!!! My car is getting checked out across the street. The check engine light has been going on for a while now and I think it’s the catalytic converter or the mass air supply. Ha! Don’t I sound smart? I read that online! Today, since I really don’t have my car, I’m running errands and trying to finish up last minute stuff for the shower on Saturday. Once that’s over, I have dinner with a bunch of girlfriends who are in town for the shower, lots of school and some packing for my 3 day road trip through Louisiana and east Texas. I’ll probably get back on Wednesday and have just enough time to freak out about not being ready for Neal, Carolyn, Jeff and Shelly to arrive on Thursday…

Today is a big day…First of all, it’s my Grandpa Kaptain’s 89th birthday!!! How awesome is that? My grandparents have always been so wonderful to me. They have always supported me; from buying popcorn for my classes on Fridays during elementary school, to teaching me tennis and introducing me to new foods (I really credit them for my adventurous pallette). I am so thankful that they are still in my life! So, Happy Birthday Grandpa!!! I love you and thank you for all that you have taught me and done for me over the past 28 years. I look forward to many more years of your wisdom and sage advice!

Secondly, this day is BIG because I finally slept last night. It was glorious and I’m back to feeling like I can take on the world. I hope this continues! The on,y thing I need now is my tax return and I’ll be back in full force.

Vie got so much to do the rest of the week…last minute errands for the shower, prepare for my review on Friday morning, lunch with Marilyn on Friday, some lawn work, maids on Friday, beg the neighbors to deal politely with the influx of traffic that the shower guests will create (maybe a small bribe would help…I’m thinking cookies), do my expense report, do my call reports for the week and find time to enjoy myself. Whew! I’m tired just thinking about it!

Blessings from Social House Cafe.
