Wow…it’s freaking HOT outside.  Actually, the temp isn’t that bad, but the humidity is killer!  I got to run at River Legacy Park today.  It’s one of my favorite parks in the area.  I grew up rollerblading there and would take the family dogs on picnics there.  I just love it.  So, since it’s not too far from home, I thought I’d hit the trails there.

First of all, I brought my phone…just in case I got lost or something.  Not to mention that it’s noon, in Texas, during the last week of July. Those trails are pretty wooded and if you take a wrong turn, you can end up walking/running a lot further than you expected.  I’m going to start taking my phone from now on.  I’ve included some of the photos I took on my run…

This sign cracked me up…
Okay, it scared me a bit too!

Another thing that I really like about River Legacy Park is all of the memorial benches.  When I was in college and I ran at Town Lake, I decided that when I die, I want a memorial bench.  What a lovely gift…just a simple bench on a scenic overlook.  Well, there are memorial benches at River Legacy and I had forgotten about them so that was a great reminder.

I didn’t do much of anything yesterday so today has been a big improvement.  I have a lunch date in Las Colinas tomorrow with a great friend.  I also plan on selling back my old books and buying my new books tomorrow since I’ll be in the area.
Okay, that’s all I got for now!
Blessings.
