2 miles. Hills. 24 min. 37 sec.

Oh my!!!  It is hot outside.  The Texas Summer is officially here!  I didn’t run yesterday, so I had to make up for it today.  I’ve actually been running more than what my training schedule calls for.  Today, I just did the 2 miles that were scheduled.  Tomorrow, I’ll run 3 and Saturday, I’ll run 4 (a little nervous about that).

I wanted to write about timing today.  Not timing my running or anything like that.  I wanted to write about timing in life and how truly amazing it is that things work themselves out over time.  I have been really blessed with good timing throughout my life.  Of course, I can remember thinking otherwise and being so frustrated, only to be thankful that things didn’t happen my way; they happen according to his plan.  Today, I’m thankful for my family’s timing.  Even though things may seem terrible, they happen for a reason.

I really believe that patience is the key to happiness.  Really?  When has something not worked out for the better?  I can’t think of one thing I’d change.  I wouldn’t skip over the bad times because they have made the good ones so much better!!!  I guess that does have a little to do with running.  If I skipped all this annoying training, I wouldn’t really be able to appreciate what the marathon is all about.

Okay, after a very CRAZY day, I’ve got to get to my school work!

P.S. Fran!!! No more foot baths!!! I love you 🙂
