Today was my first group run. I was really excited about it for a couple of reasons: meeting all the people I’ll be training with and I knew I would run better with a group. Well, I DID! I’m really enjoying the Team In Training program. It is so inspiring and incredibly well organized. I’m girl that definitely appreciates what organization can do for people 🙂
The other day, just for the heck of it, I added up all the miles in the training program. Between last Monday and up to October 17th, I am supposed to run 515 miles! That’s to Austin and back, plus 100. I’ve got 8 miles of that accounted for. Only 507 to go.
So far, May has been an awesome month. School has been really challenging, I’ve got some awesome stuff going on work-wise, I started consistently exercising, and this weekend is Mother’s Day and my birthday! I LOVE MAY! Really though, I think this is going to be a life-changing month for me. I’ve started on some amazing trajectories and can’t wait to see where I’ll end up. For now, I’m just enjoying the journey.
My fundraising goal for next week is $500 and my goal time for 2 miles is 22 min.
