Well, I turn 28 next week. That doesn’t exactly sound like “the beginning,” but I’m really excited about it.
It’s so close to 30! Since I was about 18 years old, I’ve kept a list of things I wanted to do before I turned 30. Last year, when I turned 27, I got caught a little off guard. I’ll share my list because I’m a huge fan of accountability, but please remember that some of these are the vain and selfish ideals of an 18 year old.
1) Get my masters – in progress
2) Personal Annual Income goal – check
3) VP of Sales and Marketing – TBD
4) Pay off my undergrad loans – check
5) Run a marathon – in progress
6) Skydive – why have I not done this yet?
It’s interesting to me that, of the 6 items on my list, I really only consider one of them important. 10 years later money, titles, extreme sports just aren’t what I had made them out to be. So, that’s the beginning. That’s where this whole marathon thing started.
Now, just because these items aren’t the most important things in my life, doesn’t mean I don’t want to check them off my list. For an OCD, control freak like me, NOTHING…absolutely NOTHING feels better than crossing something off a list. LOOK OUT SAN FRANCISCO ~~~~ HERE I COME 🙂
